Chicken of the Woods Laeitiporus sulphureus mainly grows on willow but will occur on yew and occasionally other species of tree. It fruits throughout the summer and is a very nice edible species when young but if you take any away to try please leave some to release their spores and for the insect life that requires many of the fungi to complete their own life cycle.
