Hygrocybe pesistens.  This lovely yellow Waxcap grows in unimproved grassland usually with other species of Waxcaps, Hygrocybe virgineus, H. psittacina and H. conica at Wimpole. These species can indicate the possible presence of a richer fungi flora and recently the Huntingdon Mycologist Group found a species possibly new to Britain, Mycenella cooliana, at Wimpole.
